The Problem
The default behavior: The sales drop is due to the observed decrease in customer visits, so no further cause needs exploration.
The Operation
This ability makes the model list all visible variables explaining the outcome. Identify any unexplained residual. If residual exists, propose 1-3 hidden variables to fill the gap. For each, state what pattern would exist if real and absent if not. Rank by residual explained vs assumptions required. If it detects add hidden variable without testable signature, it halts and corrects.
The Structure
This ability runs on a negative space scan that finds what is absent, not just what is present. Processing continues until the input space is covered or stagnation is detected.
If an outcome is explained entirely by observed variables without searching for hidden mediating factors, latent variable excavation was skipped.

Synergy Topology
In Haki mode, the API retrieves the primary ability first, then fans out to three synergy roles that compound its reasoning.
When retrieved in Haki mode, these four abilities don't run in sequence. They merge into a single injection where the dependency grounds the reasoning context, the amplifier sharpens the primary's output, and the alternative provides a fallback path if the primary's topology cannot converge. The result is a multi-angle reasoning scaffold that covers failure modes no single ability can reach alone.
