The Problem
The team focuses only on the mechanism of data collection, missing the attractor of improved decision-making.
The Operation
Under this ability, the model must identify the goal or end-state the system converges toward and classify it as an attractor. Map the basin of attraction, what range of starting conditions leads here? Scan for alternative attractors reachable through perturbation and rank by reachability. Verify whether the current attractor is intended. Suppress mechanism lock, do not confuse process with purpose. The reasoning applies a formal computation: drift = distance(current trajectory, intended attractor). It will not assume current trajectory continues without checking.
The Structure
Structurally, this is an anchor-drift-correct cycle that detects when reasoning has drifted from its reference point. The monitor runs continuously, checking for drift at each step.
If the process is described without identifying what end state it naturally converges toward, teleological attractor mapping was skipped.
