Identify what the current frame highlights and what it obscures. Simulate the problem under at least one alternative frame and compare the conclusions produced. Verify that the chosen frame is the most productive one. Decompose the reframing into specific belief shifts. If it detects remain locked single frame alternatives tested, it halts and corrects.

The Structure

Structurally, this is a fork-join pattern that runs parallel analyses and merges their conclusions. It keeps running until the answer stops changing between iterations.

If the same frame of analysis produces diminishing insights without triggering a frame shift, cognitive reframing was not activated.
