Ki · Reasoning

The Problem

This is what breaks. The server outages must have three independent root causes, network instability, disk fragmentation, and a memory leak, because each symptom appeared separately. This spaghetti of hypotheses covers every angle.

The Operation

When activated, the model must enumerate all competing explanations for the observed phenomenon. For each explanation, count the independent assumptions it requires. Rank explanations by assumption count, fewest assumptions first. Test whether the simplest explanation accounts for all observed evidence. Reject any explanation that adds constructs exceeding what the evidence demands.

The Structure

This ability runs on a convergence funnel where multiple candidates enter, evidence narrows them, and only survivors exit. Execution repeats until the reasoning locks onto a stable conclusion.

If the explanation introduces entities or assumptions beyond what the evidence requires, parsimony enforcement was not performed.

Cross-Domain Suppression

In Haki mode, the API retrieves the primary ability first, then fans out to three synergy roles that compound its reasoning.

When retrieved in Haki mode, the primary ability is augmented with failure guards extracted from 3 abilities in different cognitive domains. Each guard blocks a specific reasoning failure the primary alone wouldn't catch. A self-check forces verification before output. The result is cross-domain coverage that no single ability can reach alone.
